Who We Are

The Columbia Music Teachers Association (CMTA) is a non-profit professional organization for independent and collegiate music teachers, dedicated to the enhancement of the art of teaching musical skills and understanding.

We are affiliated with the South Carolina Music Teachers Association (SCMTA) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).

About Our Meetings

Our meetings are held on the 3rd Friday of each month from September through April, excluding December.

We meet at 10:00 A.M. at Rice Music House, 3214 Devine Street,Columbia, SC in the 2nd floor recital hall.

Meetings consist of programs beginning at 10:00 A.M. which provide opportunities for members to further their own education or learn about new materials and technology available to the music teacher.

A brief business meeting follows the program.
